Bell Packaging Seminar at Bournemouth University

Bell Packaging Seminar at Bournemouth University

The University of Bournemouth is one of the world’s leading authorities for studying and developing new product and packaging design.

Following a visit by David Cameron Bell Packaging were invited to deliver a seminar on Jetran® and Jetbox® packaging.   Presenting to students from different departments Managing Director Peter Lennie was delighted to present the latest developments in UK packaging designs.

The seminar was organised by Theo Roe (Course Coordinator).  Year 2 students have been given a project using Bell designs for DIY products.  During the seminar Bell demonstrated the flexibility of the Jetran® system highlighting the minimal carbon footprint elements of packaging that is supplied packed flat.

The students engaged in a lively debate regarding recyclable plastics and a new biodegradable polymer is being developed which will hopefully reduce the amount of plastic waste in our oceans.

Packaging is an essential part of our lives and by joining together packaging designers with manufacturers we will be better placed to meet current and future consumer demands.

Testimonial – Lessiters Chocolatiers

Using Jetbox® for their luxury Salted Caramels, Chunky Mints, Orangettes and Ginger Cubes ranges, Lessiters Chocolatiers director Hans Luder commented:

we have worked with Bell Packaging for over 25 years. When they brought Jetbox® to us we knew this was a great idea. Printed board tubes supplied flat really sold the design. Minimal storage, easy to assemble and all at a surprisingly reasonable cost. Delivery was conducted within four weeks and we are considering the use of other Jetbox® designs to present our 2014 range of luxury truffles.
